Kakoting means tendon or upper part of the heel. Please refer to my previous post to see the location of Kakoting.

Kakoting Achilles means Achilles tendon, the famous story of the ancient Greek hero. According to legend, as a baby he was dipped in the river Styx by his mother, the goddess Thetis, causing him to become (supposedly) immortal and invincible. But during the Trojan War, where Achilles was killed by a single arrow, which pierced his Kakoting. This was due to the fact that Thetis had held that particular Kakoting while dipping him in the Styx, causing that spot to be the only "mortal" place on his body.

Today some of our Bisayan leader think they are immortal, invincible and unbeatable. They claimed they are the true winner and always win. But remember what happen to the ancient Greek hero, Achilles. He died just because of the Kakoting.

So, the best way to beat the unbeatable is by spotting the secret and "mortal" part of them. Then they become beatable and mortal.

Ha. ha. ha . . . . Be caution. . . .

A picture is worth a thousand words

This weekend was the biggest day for the members of the United Malay National Orgainsation in Beaufort and Sipitang where Bisayan involved. Honestly, I'm not one of them. I was doubt because sometime your name will be listed in the claimed of over 3 million members of this group, without you don't even know when, where and why ?. I was lucky because, my IC number was not exploited for this purpose.

In the early 50's, in the era of Onn Jaafar, You must have a quality to be elected as a leader, such as, leadership, honest, brave, courage and etc.

But, nowadays you must have these qualities to be elected as a leader. such as:

- Nanunui
- Nangambur
- Naringking
- Rompit da sawat
- Maka abiton
- Kapsit
- Buyuk

To get voted is like an auction. The highest bidder will got the vote. No matter how silly and ugly their faces were, as long as they have rectangular paper printed on by Agong's pic. Corruption is like a ball of snow, once it's set a rolling it must increase.

The real measure of your value is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money.” - Charles Caleb Colton : 1832

REFORMIST
: they who love REFORM and for the interest of PEOPLE.

e.g: Eduard Bernstein, Karl Kautsky

NATIONALIST
:
they who love NATION and for the interest of PEOPLE.
e.g: Ahmad Boestamam, Burhanuddin Helmi

COMMUNIST
: they who love EQUALITY and for the interest of PEOPLE.

e.g: Leon Trotsky, Karl Marx

ANARCHIST
: they who love FREEDOM and for the interest of PEOPLE.

e.g: James Northcote, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon

NAZIST
: they who love FASCISM and for the interest of PEOPLE.

e.g: Adolf Hitler, Ernst Roehm

NAJIS (bullshit)
: they who love MONEY and for the interest of their own STOMACH.

e.g: no need to mention here, lets look around us, lot of this kind of leaders here. They are bullshit and keep bulshittin' us . . . . and call it development.

Hey, can you spot the strange fact. Although all of the groups above loved the different things but still for the interest of PEOPLE.

What is wrong on the last group ??? different preference and interest ???

Hari Raya Puasa, commonly known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri in Malaysia falls on the 1st of Syawal every year. In Malay the word Hari Raya means a Great Day and Puasa derives from Sanskrit meaning fasting or abstention.

Open House (rumah terbuka) always be held by most of the political leader such Datuk and YBs. They will feast you with a lot of food and sometime give a packets of money a.k.a ang pow. So everybody will be happy eating and enjoying the ang pow.

Have you ever think ? you as a people or voters deserve the feast & ang angpow because, actually the money is yours, that was the people's money. These YBs was hired by the government to serve the people, but what happened was these YBs steal the people's money and put in their own pocket and call it development. ha. ha. ha.

They put on a culvert that is cost about RM200 in front of your house and put the balance of RM 5000 in their stomach, and once a year they give you RM5 as an ang pow. . . ha. ha. ha. This is developement.

Being a leader means you are very nice in exploiting the human stupidity.

Being a people means you are always ready to be fool again and again.

and still remain the same . . . until. . . . . until you prefer to reform. . .

If you tremble indignation at every injustice, then you are ready to reform.

The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.” - Ernesto 'Che' Guevara

I began to wonder :

Why is 31st August more important than 16 September ?

31st August is just the independence of Malaya, known as Persekutuan Tanah Melayu 1957

How about Sabah and Sarawak ?

Why we celebrate the independence of Malaya ?

Isn’t 16 september the actual date when Malaysia is born ?

Why not celebrate the Malaysia Day on september 16 ?

* * * * * *

TRIVIA : Why Bisayan celebrate Adau Janang Gayuh ?
Why Buffalo Race ?

A lot more WHY to come . . . .

Reason and free inquiry are the only effectual agents against error.

Few words related to Ramadhan month in Bisayan Vocab, this is not language tutorial but more on proving how nice the Bisayan language. Ha. ha..

SUNGKAI: refer to a people who did not fasting. eg: sungkai ikau ti (you are not fasting)

SUMUNGKAI: refer to an act of breaking the fast

NAKASUNGKAI: refer to situation when somebody did not finish their fasting.

MAPASUNGKAI: refer to an action of serving or organize a feast for breaking fast.

NABADUKAN: Confirmed !!! no other language in this world had a specific word for this. ha..ha. As far as i know, only Bisayan have this kind of vocab. pergh !!!
please ask your Bisayan elders for the exact meaning. ha..ha..ha..

It is nice to share here that, Bisayan Language had the influence of English and Arabic. Some word used in Bisayan Language come from English and Arabic. I am proud because the fact is, Bisayan Language is easily adapt others language to make it nice and good to hear. But sometime the word become more specific used, just like coldgate for all kind of tooth paste.

let's look some examples of it:

ENGLISH:

( PLIKISIN ) : Refer to the land application form or LA status.

( PLANCIN ) : Refer to a shoe polish, maybe the word shine become cin

( OKSUDA ) : Works Order - popular amongs the Bisayan contractor

( MAT GAT ) : mud guard

ARABIC

( MAIRAT ) : Isra' & Mi'raj Night.

( NISPU ) : The Night of fifhteen Sya'aban

* Maybe a lot more that i forgot, please mail me to share.

Bravo !!!. The Ex-President who holding the 0000001 serial number and his wife 0000002 was officially quited from the organization he had lead for 22 years. Why ? for me, this is the consequence from the past. All of the UMNO presidents had quited including the man who born UMNO. When they feels regret, then they quit. So , you better quit now before you get regret in the future. For the majority of us, the past is a regret, the future an experiment. But UMNO experiment was done well, as a result 4 president was quited, So you know the conclusion.

Forget about them, let's talk about Bisaya.

I want to share here 2 real situation, the conversation among Bisayan on the matter of Tun Dr. M quitting UMNO:

# 1st Comment:

" - KALAU IRO SAMALURA' SADA' MASALAH. IRO SUDAH KINUMAYA' -"
(No problem if they quitted, they are wealthy )

- Bisayan think people entering UMNO for the money, then quit if they got plenty enough.

# 2nd Comment:

" - SUMUANG DAN UMNO TI MACAM SINUMUANG DA BUKIT PADANG. LAPAS SINUMBALUT BOLEH NIO SAMALURA' -"
(entering UMNO just like admitted to Bukit Padang (Mental Hospital). After recover you can quit)

- Bisayan think people entering UMNO because they are crazy or fools. then quit when they got recover/healed.

' Kusin Maka Lopot ', describes the condition when some Bisayan buy a new car, then the car seat or cushion wrapping is still there, normally plastic wrapping. I bet you had experienced to saw this weird and unreasonable strange behavior. Maybe for a week or two, the seat still tidy wrapped or still ' Maka Lopot'.

Can somebody explain why ? or it was normal stupidity.

I'm excited to see the day that I'll buying a new car to see whether I will put still the plastic wrapping or tear it out. I think there is no salvation in becoming adapted to a world which is crazy and I will never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

Hopefully it is not too late to congrats the president of PBBS (Persatuan Bisaya) for being promoted and chosen as a new cabinet members after somebody resign and did not interested on that post. ha. ha. As a deputy minister of federal transportation ministry, i hope the new man will boost up the cabinet performance rather than being static as a kitchen cabinet.

Then, another untold story was publicly revealed at the same time as mention by the mainstream media is the newly appointed transportation deputy minister is holding the recognition from overseas University for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) title. I'm proud to hear that because, it is not many Bisayan out there holding the MBA title. So once again, Congrats. I hope it was BAGUS, not BOGUS. But, how can the public did not know this man holding the MBA title ? . When he went to USA and study there ?. Hey !, how can this man got MBA without holding the BBA first ? This is the matter of we are the people are fool or we had been fooled. The Bisayan have an insatiable curiosity to know everything, except what is worth knowing.

Nowadays we can see many of BISAYAN had a recognition in various fields such as Medical, Engineering, Law and Business study but don't forget, there still much more who still under the coconut shell. So it is the big responsibility for the Bisayan Leader. The elected leaders should think about the people's future rather than just think about his stomach and the organ several inches below. What was happened before, this top rank peoples prefer if the lower rank peoples keep quite, fools and naive, so their post will stable and guaranteed.

Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. Unreasonable people attempt to adapt the world to themselves. All progress, therefore, depends on unreasonable people. There are only two kinds of people who are really fascinating; people who know absolutely everything, and people who know absolutely nothing. When dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but with creatures of emotion, creatures bristling with prejudice, and motivated by pride and vanity.

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.” - Albert Einstein.

Fate of people, destinies of nations and history itself are determined to a substantial extent by political leaders. When electing a leader, voters frequently base their decision on the image created by mass media and professional image makers; they also tend to take into account only current events and tasks. This, unfortunately, can result in bringing to power a politician who eventually damages the country's position or even causes national or international cataclysms.

Performance of political government can be measured by the increase of the quality of life in the respective region or (DUN) during the time of ruling. Some might say, “It’s not the matter either the cat is black or white, as long as it catch mice”. So they might say, “It’s not the matter either the leader is good or bad, as long as he give us money or opportunity”. Have you ever thinking of, if the good leader is ruling, how much better the opportunity you will get. I’m not telling you that Bisayan are fools but just not smart enough.

A leader has the vision and conviction that a dream can be achieved. He inspires the power and energy to get it done. To be a leader, you have to make people want to follow you, and nobody wants to follow someone who doesn't know where he is going. If you only offer the same old fashioned promises, nothing will change or it will even get worst. If you do what you always done, surely you will get what you always got. Think wisely, set the priority, smartly move your butt.

If you look at the scenario of Bisayan Leadership, in all kind of organization, specially in political hierarchy and the local organization such as Persatuan Bisaya. you will see the same pattern of the leadership, same old punks, same old thought. To be leader is not the stepping stone for the fame or glamour. It is also not just a 'Periuk Nasi'. It is beyond your old fashioned preconception Bisaya minded. Its about future and survival. what next . . . . . you'll make the move.

“Politicians are like diapers. They both need changing regularly and for the same reason.”

_

The 12th general election had passed few weeks before but the result will interfered and weaving the next five years pattern of the Bisayan socio life. Now is the time to get back what you had given. In the campaign period, lot of promises had been delivered so now is the time to get back the price of your ballot bullet pencil.

Somewhere, the tap water is free for 20 cubic meter but in here, we are suffered the water interruption. The electrical power supply also like a color light, (sometime on, sometime off). They promise peace but in 7 months period, two Bisayan murdered, tragically. Please don't bluff, you can fools some of the people some of the time, But you can never fools all the people all the time.

This is not the statement of anger but more on to softly advice and suggest. If something can be done by straight way, why choose the curly one. Hopefully the Bisayan should get rid of being a political beggar. Please earning for life on something else, maybe the quality of education will change this scenario.

Nowadays, if you see a Bisayan get rich and wealthy life, you can bet he is one of these two. First politician and second, the smuggler. Think outside the box, there are millions kind of things can make you rich and happy. Because of there are too many politician competing each others, so some will be glorious but some will loose. If you choose another successful way, nobody will loose. Actually we can achieve excellence in something else which are not listed in our book of mind as long as we try something new and discover the possibility. Things may come to those who wait...but only the things left by those who hustle.

REVOLUTION
A revolution is a significant change that usually takes place in a short period of time. Aristotle described two types of political revolution:

  1. Complete change from one constitution to another.
  2. Modification of an existing constitution.
Revolutions have occurred throughout human history and vary widely in terms of methods, duration, motivating ideology. Their results include major changes in culture, economy, and socio-political institutions.

REFORMATION
Reformation usually means "returning to a clean start," removing accumulated corruption and impurity. It is often used in reference to institutions, sets of practices, and people; those in favor of reformation usually believe that they are correcting errors and returning to a rightful course, such as with reformed criminals.

As far as i see today, the Bisayan did not interested in these strange words, they don't like revolution, they don't like reformation, but they preferred corruption, slow motion or erectile dysfunction.

Politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed.” -Mao Tse Dung

so short the time , so many things to be consider. As the 12th general election candidates was revealed last week, so this week the campaign process will take place. my comment was "WOW !!!", so many BISAYA, 3 for BN, 3 for KEADILAN and 5 for BEBAS. Congratulation for all of them because the democracy is running that way.

In the campaign some promise for development, some for charity. some promise for justice and some for nothing. But the question is, are they really promise for what the people really needs ?. So think wisely.!!

In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way. The voters has a harder job to do than just choose sides. It must bring sides together.” so, when you are facing the same BISAYA candidates for the same seat. be careful. consider wisely !!! Leader should be the first to be concerned about other people and country, and the last to enjoy themselves.

“My grand Syeikh ( MAULANA) once told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was less competition there.”

~ VOTE FOR YOUR RIGHT, DENY PRECONCEPTION ~

If you ask me what is politics ? then I must be blurry, but I may say the politician is talk too much and too often. There are kind of opportunist wear-on the mask of hero and the art of silent hypocrisy. My view is concerning about the Bisaya politician. Maybe I made a mistake because I had limited resources. My judgment based on what happen around me. Perhaps my view on Bisaya politician is wrong, BUT, you cannot deny your eyes. What you see is what really happens.

Let’s look at the world outside. What they say about politics. Maybe we can learn something or unless we are not closed minded and useless preconception.

“Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber.” – Plato

“In war, you can only be killed once, but in politics, many times.” - Winston Churchill

“Politics is the art of postponing decisions until they are no longer relevant.” - Henri Queuille

“In politics stupidity is not a handicap.” - Napoleon Bonaparte

“Politics, n: Poly "many" + tics "blood-sucking parasites" - Larry Hardiman

“Politics isn't about big money or power games; it's about the improvement of people's lives” - Paul Wellstone

“Anyone who says they are not interested in politics is like a drowning man who insists he is not interested in water” - Oscar Ameringer

“I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people” - Mahatma Gandhi

“Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed there are many rewards, if you disgrace yourself you can always write a book.” - Ronald Reagan

“Leadership has a harder job to do than just choose sides. It must bring sides together.” – Jesse Jackson

“Politics, as a practice, whatever its professions, has always been the systematic organization of hatreds.” – Liaw Sahab

“Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you” – Liaw Sahab

“The introduction of religious passion into politics is the end of honest politics, and the introduction of politics into religion is the prostitution of true religion” - Lord Hailsham

So I think, it is more than enough for the foreign politician quote. At last, do not forget my advice, when you involved in Sabah politics especially the Bisaya politics, please :

“WATCH !, WHAT THEY DO, NOT WHAT THEY SAY”

Action speak louder than word.

_

Perhaps one of the most insidious mistakes is to believe that you do not reap what you sow, but what you think you sow, or what you say you sow, or what you wish you had sown, or what you want others to believe you have sown. But realize this: You reap what you actually sow

How ridiculous it would be if a farmer planted a field full of ‘Rumbia’, thinking he was planting ‘Pokok Jarak’. Would he receive ‘Pokok Jarak’ instead of ‘Rumbia’ merely because he was innocently mistaken, or because he wished he had planted ‘Pokok Jarak’, or because he told his neighbors he had planted ‘Pokok Jarak’? Of course not. He would reap what he sow

Most of Bisaya people thought is to oppress others then you will happy, success and glorious. But actually whatever you sow by your actions come back to you. If you make others happy through service, charity and kind acts, you sow happiness like a seed; and it will give you the fruit of happiness. If you make others unhappy through harsh words, insult, ill-treatment, cruel acts, oppression, etc., you sow unhappiness like a seed; and it will give you the fruit of pain, suffering, misery and unhappiness.

Sow a thought you reap an act.

Sow an act, you reap a habit.

Sow a habit, you reap a character.

Sow a character, you reap your destiny

Chow !!!

Thinking is intelligent: endowed with the capacity to reason, or the process of using your mind to consider something carefully. So obviously, if you fail to consider something carefully in capacity to reason, maybe you're not thinking. Or maybe you're not using your mind. This situation we call "hilang akal". If you confident you had think and using your mind but the decision still not as it suppose to be, then the answer is you are careless.

Thinking also is an internal mental process that uses information as input, integrates that information into previous learned material and the result may be knowledge or may be nothing. So obviously, if you fail to get the authentic, relevant and beneficial information as input, your internal mental process will come out with not authentic, irrelevant and futile result.

So, let’s think in right way it supposed. Let's think outside the box by looking at a problem from a new perspective without preconceptions. Different people do not think the same way, and understanding the different methods of thinking can be useful for you and for them. 23 years ago, Harrison and Bramson had classified 5 different styles of thinking:

The Synthesis - sees likeness in apparent unlikes, sees conflict.

The Idealist - welcomes a broad range of views, seeks ideal solutions.

The Pragmatist - "whatever works" - seeks shortest route to payoff

The Analyst - seeks one "best way", interested in scientific solutions.

The Realist - relies on facts and expert opinions or concrete results.

Let's think outside the box but don’t ever think outside your head.

Reading is the cognitive process of deriving meaning from written or printed text. It is a means of language acquisition, of communication, and of sharing information and ideas. The more you read the more you get. Reading habit was lost from BISAYA attitude. They prefer to gain information and knowledge by nature. (e.g: hearsay, rumor, coffee shop talk)

Even the school student nowadays don't like reading. In fact, some of them are still illiterate. How can you imagine a form 5 student who will seat for SPM examination still slow speller.

I want to share here a list of few books that worth the reading:

> How to Win Friends and Influence People - by : Dale Carnegie
> Why Men Don't Listen & Women Can't Read Maps - by : Allan Pease
> The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich - by : William L. Shirer
> Romance of the Three Kingdoms - by : Luo Guanzhong
> War and Peace - by : Leo Tolstoy
> Dare To Fail - by : Billi P.S Lim

"IF YOU PAY PEANUTS, YOU GET MONKEYS"

Politics is the process by which groups of people make decisions that affect other people and policy. Although the term is generally applied to behavior within civil governments, politics is observed in all human group interactions, including corporate, academic, and religious institutions.

Politics consists of "social relations involving authority or power" and refers to the regulation of a political unit, and to the methods and tactics used to formulate and apply policy. Politics also is the study of the exercise of power. This means that it has a huge impact on your daily life! Most of the key issues in our society - such as crime, poverty and the environment - are political.

Nowadays, the Bisayan was narrow-minded on the term of politics. For them politics is just about the mechanism of acquisition power, security and fortunes opportunities. The national political arena seems to be the main livelihood sources. Too many politicians here, everywhere peoples always talking about the rumors, gimmicks and propagandas. Everybody is trying to climb up high to the higher stakes. For them positions and possession is security of fortune and lucks. Differently to the Chinese, they let the right man for the political game and the others for another resource. The Chinese mostly involved in business and entrepreneurships. So there are no conflict between politician and businessmen.

Neither as conclusion nor final solution, my opinion is to raise high the races by put somebody in capability, talented and worthy to be the backbone of the peoples. Put these creams as a leader and the others find something beneficial as your track and stream rather than being a coffee shop speculator, talk too much without further action.

We need leader or politician who:

Always runs while others walk. He who acts while other men just talk. He who looks at this world, and wants it all, Who knows the meaning of success. He realized that people needs are more, so he gives even more rather than self satisfied policy.

RIGHT MAN FOR THE RIGHT PLACE

~

There was a conversation between my nephews asking each others with some tricky outside the box riddle. The first one is asking the simple question but owe the explanation. The question is :

Who is the happiest people or races in this world ?

I was shock and by the answer given by them. The happiest people award goes to BISAYA. The boy stated the reason that should be review and think of. BISAYA is the happiest people in this world because everytime they meet each others, it will be a laugh at the end of conversation. They always laugh before talking, while talking and after finished talking. Sometimes the laughter is more than the dialogue.

This is too obvious indicator which means they are so happy and feeling well. i don't know wether this is a nature god-given element or somethings come out from mind attitude. Actually nothings is wrong, but lets look on the what wise man always said.

" PEOPLE WHO LAUGH MORE IS USING THEIR BRAIN LESS "

Chow !!!

The creation of a nation starts with a bold idea but the more practical act of building a nation involves much more. It takes sweat, money, courage, lives, determination and vision to build the structures and monuments that make a people great, proud and prosperous.

Nowaday, Bisaya had a few quality of nation building element such as culture (songs, dress, dance), political power (state assemblymen, MP) and etc. but some others important things still had been mislooked. For example education and economic elements. For me, everythings comes out by the quality of education achievement. because it will influenced all the things ahead.

Education is essential for economic development and eradicating poverty. It allows people to be more productive, to play a greater role in economic life, and to earn a better living. Education also makes it possible for people to be responsible and informed citizens, and to have a voice in politics and society, which is essential for sustaining democracy. It also provides people with the knowledge and awareness needed to promote tolerance and understanding among people.

It will nuture people with brains. Politician with brains. Businessmen with brain rather than selfish stylished and fashion maniac political business minded opportunist people.
